WHAT: Solidarity rally in support of our region's rail workers!
WHEN: December 13, 2022, 11AM-1PM
WHERE: In Sparks, NV at the corner of Victorian & Pyramid

Dear Brothers & Sisters,

Please come out to the Reno/Sparks Rail Worker Solidarity Rally TOMORROW, December 13, 2022 from 11am-1pm and stand in solidarity with our region's Rail Workers!!

This rally will coincide with the rally being held in Washington, DC, on December 13 – the same day a critical federal hearing on Union Pacific’s use of embargoes and the day before the Federal Railway Administration will be holding a hearing regarding its proposed two-person train crew rule.

In addition to crew size, the rallies are intended to draw the public’s attention towards:
  • The need for increased rail safety – prioritizing the need to maintain two-person crews
  • The devastating effects of so-called “precision scheduled railroading," which has been catastrophic for rail shippers and the American economy
  • The need for paid sick leave

Rail barons limit the quantities of bulk products that the public depends upon, driving up inflation on critical consumer goods like food and gas while stocks and profits for investors are skyrocketing. It's time to stand up for rail workers and for regular Americans just trying to make ends meet.

WHAT: Solidarity rally in support of our region's rail workers!
WHEN: December 13, 2022 11AM-1PM
WHERE: In Sparks, NV at the corner of Victorian & Pyramid (meet at the rail memorial park on the southwest side)
